During the day I wear Tarte Tinted Moisturizer. But at night I really needed a good for me, packed with vitamins and other good stuff moisturizer, but something for oily skin.

Enter Paula’s Choice Anti Aging Clear Skin Hydrator. What a way to kill two birds with one stone. Here are some of the beneficial ingredients:

Niacinamide. Cell communicating ingredient. What a great idea! I know taking Niacinamide helps to clear your skin so putting it right on your skin is brilliant. Brings a slight warmth to the skin that is barely noticeable after the first couple of applications.

Enzymes! Like lacoperoxidase. helps eliminate breakout-causing bacteria.

Vitamin C: I can’t say enough about vitamin C. Everyone should have at least one product that brings substantial vitamin C to your skin. It is anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting, and is a natural UV-blocker.

A bunch of plant-derived anti-oxidants. I’m always especially excited when Paula decides to use plant extracts in her products, which she does a lot, because I know their purpose and the science behind their use is well researched.

Another benefit? It’s unscented. So all you smell is the faint scent of aloe vera or whatever else makes it smell so good. I love unscented things because fragrance really bothers me.

Since using Paula’s Choice Anti Acne line along with this lotion, my skin is staying consistently clear without all the dryness. I’ll have to do an update on Clinique vs. Paula’s Choice soon, because I have been using it for a few weeks now and am happy so far with the results.

I can’t wait to put this on at night – it feels really good and it makes a big difference in your skin tone the next morning. I think it’s a great product for morning use as well, I just don’t feel I need two skin care products and I already love using the Tarte Tinted Moisturizer.

“Powerful antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients stimulate healthy collagen production, repair sun damage, and fade red marks and discolorations from past breakouts. Lactoperoxidase helps eliminate breakout-causing bacteria, while soothing agents calm skin and enhance its natural repair process.”

Price: normally $24 for 1.7 oz, right now $20 for 1.7 oz. 1.7 oz is a lot of product so I would say the price is moderate.

  1. I love Paula’s Choice. My friend introduced me to it recently and I ordered a bunch of things after I saw how amazing her skin started to look. I’ve been really happy with Paula’s products, I am sure this one is a great find too!

    1. How encouraging to hear! I am very happy so far, but it’s only been a few weeks. I read her book “don’t go to the cosmetics counter without me” and was very persuaded by some of her knowledge to try her products and products she labels as “best.”

        1. That’s awesome Lexa. The reason I was impressed with her book was that she could have told me ahead of time why I loved all the products that I really love and which ones I shouldn’t have bothered with. So now I am probably going to be guided by her book more and more often.

          1. Her book and her website are nearly the same, so using the website is the same accept you tend to not just read and read like I did with the book, and you might get more organized and clear information. So it’s great to hear more positive experiences with her material.

  2. I’m glad you’re loving Paula’s products. I have been swearing by her for years now. I think I need to add some new Paula’s Choice to my skin care routine. Thanks for the reminder! And great, thorough post. 🙂
